Our Story

Pam (Poonam) Kala is a first-generation American-born Indian, deeply rooted in her Kashmiri-Sikh heritage. While her upbringing was rich in traditions and culture, it also came with societal expectations about how a woman should look, act, and live. After years of trying to fit the mold, Pam worked towards embracing her individuality, loving herself, and living life on her own terms. This included following her dream of empowering women through her own clothing brand.

Pam founded KINISONI with a mission to break societal barriers and empower women to explore and express their true selves. Through adaptable designs, KINISONI aims to create sustainable and functional clothing that will allow women to confidently own every moment—while feeling incredible doing it. Through these initiatives, KINISONI aims to give back to causes that will allow current and future generations to thrive in environments that may not allow it.

Every version of you is welcome here. We’re glad to have you.

OUR MISSION

Every quarter we are giving back by donating to organizations that are special to us. To learn more, read below.

UNICORN ISLAND

KINSONI was built to create adaptable pieces that empower women and those who support them—but the why behind it all runs deeper.

We know women can face barriers in this world. That’s why KINSONI was created - to help you move through life feeling bold, confident, and unapologetically you.

But it doesn’t stop there. Each quarter, we will donate a percentage of profits to causes that support those who deserve more. This past quarter, we’re proud to support the Unicorn Island Fund, focused on uplifting girls who are systemically undervalued across geographies.

Want to do more? You can donate directly—or simply know that every KINSONI purchase helps fuel something bigger. We’re not just building a brand—we’re building a future where everyone can thrive. Thank you ALL for making that possible.
